le sigh.
So the volkswagen dealership had a car picked out for me, showed it to me, let me test drive it, even drew up the paperwork on it -- THEN at the last minute the financing people decided they were too squeamish to let me finance through them. They said that my credit was fine but being a first time buyer and a student/recent student both work against you as for the bank having confidence in lending money.
They said the only way to remedy this is to have a cosigner with good credit and a high monthly income. My dad absolutely refuses to cosign, which isn't surprising since he wouldn't even cosign on my education loans leaving me to find other ways of paying for school. My mom attempted to cosign but she just had surgery again over the summer which shows her as not making sufficiently enough over the past six months. My step-dad said he would consider it but he has to contact them, and I have to return to waco tomorrow since the allotted time I asked off is quickly expiring.
I'm so tired of the whole ordeal because I've been at it since monday and I still have nothing to show for it. I'm frustrated as hell not having a car yet having to commute to work and accross cities to simply secure another one. I'm undoubtedly trying my friends' patience by having them drop me off and pick me up from work day by day. Added to that, this car is really nice, within my affordable range and something I want, yet unattainable with all the business bullshit dragging me down.
life is lame.
